Founded in 1947 by Paul and Myrtle Fay Hayes. Their business, originally a service station, has evolved through the years to become the largest RV retailer in East Texas. Interest in the outdoors lead the Hayes to add hunting and fishing supply sales, and rentals of tents, camp stoves and camping trailers in the 50's. The camping trailers proved to be quite popular and Hayes began to sell folding and travel trailers as a sideline.
Soon, with the introduction of additional RV products Hayes "sideline" became the major part of their business and throughout the 60's and 70's RVing popularity grew. To continue the family business tradition David and Sue Hayes purchased the business in the late 70's from the retiring founders.
	Recognizing that the growth opportunities at Hayes original downtown location were limited, David and Sue began to search for a new location. In the mid-80's a 15-acre sight was purchased and new facility built. With this new facility and additional acreage Hayes is now able to offer a greater product selection and more complete parts and service. To offer "service for what we sell" Hayes has factory and RVDA certified technicians and the largest most modern service facility in our area.
